FAQ

How do I make an appointment?

Call or Email for a free 10 minute phone consultation.

What are the costs for sessions? Cancellation fee?

Individual sessions are $140/hour session. A sliding scale is available for those who qualify. It is expected that the fee will be paid on the day of service, unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon.

There is an expectation of at least 24 hour notice for cancellations or client will incur a fee based on 80% of the individual fee for a 1:1 session.

 Do you accept my insurance?

I am not accepting insurance at this time. My services are self-pay and I can provide a Super-bill that can be submitted to the   insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement.

Do you ever work with couples or families?

Yes. I encourage family involvement for my work with kids and teens. I also work with couples and the fee is $160 per session

for couples' work and family sessions.

Do you accept credit cards for payment?

Yes. I have a Square account for payments made by card (including HSA cards), but there is a 3.85% fee and NO FEE to use preferred methods of payment (Cash, Venmo, PayPal, CashApp or personal check).

 Do you offer other services?

Yes. I offer HIPAA-compliant video chat sessions through the free app, Zoom.  I offer therapeutic groups, as needed. I make referrals for medications or other specialized services when appropriate. I partner with local support groups and providers for continuity of care. I offer support letters to clients when needed for a minimal fee depending on time to complete. (Average fee for support letters is $25-50).

Do you ever go to court?

As a rule, I do not make court appearances in order to maximize my time in the office with clients and to provide the best care possible. However, should the need arise, there fees for court testimony (both for the preparation required and for the time out of office). The fee for preparation, including court documents, consultation with legal teams, etc, is $150/hour and the fee for a court appearance is $300/hour.
